The Direct Paddy Seeder, for example, saves a lot of labour and provides a very fast and convenient way of sowing paddy seeds. The seeder has four drums attached to a linear unit, which is connected to plastic wheels at each end. The farmers drag the equipment having drums filled with seeds in straight direction on a wet field. The seeds uniformly drips on the field in four evenly spaced out rows. Thus, the seeds can be sown in no time on the the entire length of the field. The erstwhile manual sowing would have taken much more time than this method.
